What does your boss think of your writing skills?

Ever wonder what your boss thinks when they read your writing?

It’s common to feel a little uneasy about our writing abilities.  In school, we regularly received feedback about our writing in the form of grades and professor’s comments.  But in the workplace, it’s more common for a reader simply to stop reading what we’ve written rather than provide direct feedback to us.  And many times, we don’t learn whether our intended reader understands what we’re trying to communicate.

“A writer should be generous to the reader, assist the reader to get everything they can from what the writer has to say—with as little effort as possible.” Peter Riva
